The aim of the Turkish Music program; to train performers who have the technical competence to perform their instrument on national and international stages, who can match their performance competence with historical and theoretical approaches, who create their own musical discourse on the basis of free thought, and to provide students with an academic vision.
Our department is an application-oriented program in Social Sciences. Students who get the base score from the TYT exam can apply to our department. Our department accepts students with Special Talent Exam. 240 ECTS must be completed successfully for graduation. Our students graduate as ‘’performer’’ from the undergraduate program. Graduates are employed as artists in TRT and the Ministry of Culture. Our graduates who continue their postgraduate education can become associate professors in the field of performing with their work in the field of performance.
International students can not be accepted at the moment. We will announce on this website when we ready to get international applications.
